The Clearfield County Fair Queen Program began in 1989, with the crowning of Betty Lauder and her court. From there, this program has grown exponentially. Over the last 36 years, nearly 300 young women have been a part of our program. Nearly 300 young women in Clearfield County have been able to develop their professional skills, earn scholarships, grow their confidence and gain import contacts in their network through this program.
In addition to the impact the Clearfield County Fair Queen Program has made on local young women participants, this program has also made significant charitable donations. With launch of the Clearfield County Fair Queens for a Cause initiative in 2001, our program has fundraised and donated over $150,000 to the Children's Miracle Network and other local charities.
The Clearfield County Fair Queen Program Committee is made up of eight individuals who have a passion for the Clearfield County Fair and the Clearfield County Fair Queen Program as well as a love for helping young women develop key life skills during their time in this program.
Committee Members: Rachel Carr Davidson - Program Coordinator, Leah Carr Albright, Halee Kephart Chase, Shaina Williams Franson, Abby Jamison, Emily Andrulonis Johns, Jayna Vicary, and Steph Vicary
In addition to the Committee, a team of dedicated volunteers made up of past fair queens, court members, and their families help with our competition, during fair week, and at events throughout the year. We could not do it without them!
